Lemma Elizabeth Johnson Smith, 88, of 34 3rd St., Woodside, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004. Widow of Richard Samuel Smith, she was born in Monticello, Ga., the daughter of the late William Hugh and Mary Magdalene Key Johnson. Mrs. Smith retired from Woodside Mills and was a member of the Carolina Heights Church of God of Prophecy. She is survived by a half brother, Joseph Johnson, and wife, Pauline, of Piedmont. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Family members are at 122 Ellie Drive, Piedmont.
