SMITH, Lela Elizabeth (Ward)It is with deep sadness we announce the passing on March 27, 2015 of Lela Elizabeth (Ward) Smith, U.E.L. Formerly of Cedarhurst Park, Kingsville; Oak Park Terrace, Windsor; Southgate Residence, Kingsville and Royal Oak LTC, Kingsville. Lela had 60 wonderful years of loving marriage to her husband, Kenneth L. Smith (2007). Dearest mother of Karen and Larry Goslin, Woodstock; Sharon and Chuck McDonald, Harrow; Jim and Betty Smith, Chatham; Susan and Wayne Ferris, Windsor and Linda and Jose Pavao, Kingsville. Much loved by her grandchildren, Beth and Matt Maloney, Jill and Scott Klemme, Jeff Goslin, Moira and Allen Sanders, Lori and Jake Elstone, Aaron and Melissa Smith, Jason and Tracy Smith, Kelly and John Siebert, (Danny - 2006) and J'Aime Pavao, Steven and Shauna Pavao, Joey and Amy Pavao and Catherine Pavao. Beloved great-grandmother of Patrick and Luke Maloney; Nathan, Hayden and Ethan Klemme; Gavin and Ellen Sanders; Hugh and Erica Elstone; Taya, Cayden and Kailey Smith; Weston Smith; Daniele, Julie, and Mark Siebert; Autumn Pavao; Madelyn and Jared Pavao. Lela had a great passion for life and spent her many years focused on a wide variety of artistic pursuits. She was a fabulously diverse woman of extraordinary talents, who somehow managed to stay grounded, humble and elegantly beautiful. Her gentle smile and warm heart will always be remembered fondly by the many lives she touched through her vast knowledge of painting, sewing, dancing, genealogy and involvement within the community. The family wishes to offer a very special thank- you for all the staff at Royal Oak LTC. The care and compassion of all the staff for our mother and our family at this difficult time is truly remarkable. The family also wishes to offer a special thank-you to all the staff at Southgate Residence, Kingsville, the Sun Parlour Home, Leamington, and Oak Park Terrace (Chartwell), Windsor. A special thank-you to Pastor Perry Griffin and Sherry for their friendship and enriching Christian fellowship. With respect for Mrs.Smith's wishes Cremation has taken place.
