MILLPORT Lela Mae Hardin Bell, age 89, of Millport, died Jan. 22, 2010, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Pickens County with Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.Mrs. Bell was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Pickens County to Glen and Sally Alexander Hardin. She was a homemaker and member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Hardin.Survivors include her daughters, Betty Bell Boman (Clark), Frances Bell McCrary, and Clara Bell Watts (Mike); her son, Bobby R. Bell (Geneva); nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Margie McAdams and Eloise Pratt; and her brothers, Clark Hardin (Faye) and Lloyd Hardin (Frances).Pallbearers will be grandsons.
