Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crestwood Cemetery for Mr. Lee Morris "Bird" Johnson, 89, Gadsden, who passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2011. The Rev. Frank Samuels will officiate service. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Service directing.Mr. Johnson was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. He retired from Siemens-Allis, served in the U.S. Navy and was a World War II veteran.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred U. Johnson.Lee is survived his sons, Terry (Darla) Johnson and James (Donna) Johnson; daughters, Bonita Casey and Margarett Jones; sister, Ruth Morris; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 6 until 8 tonight and Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
