LEE "ED" MILLER SISTER LAKES, MI Lee "Ed" Miller of Sister Lakes, MI (formerly of Valparaiso, IN) passed away on Thursday March 6, 2014 in Sun City Center, FL. He was 85. Ed served on the Valparaiso Police Department for 26 years, and as Chief of Police from 1967 to 1975. He was later appointed Warden of the Porter County Correctional Facility and after serving eight years was elected Porter County Sheriff. He was preceded in death by his mother Zula; father, Lee; and brother, Arthur. Ed is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia; four children: Lisa, Jeff (Tracy), Beth (Kevin), and Kathy (Carmel), and six grandchildren: Jeremy, Kyle, Abby, Patrick, Megan and Brendan. The family is planning a memorial service in the late spring.
