Lee Alan White of Rutland, VT, the son of the late George and Edna (Pitcher) White, died November 4, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.Born in Danbury, CT, on January 12, 1947, he spent his youth in Bethel and Brookfield, CT. He graduated from Henry Abbott Tech School and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Vermilion during the Vietnam War.Lee married his high school sweetheart, Marion R. Tomascak, on November 30, 1968. They enjoyed 41 years of marriage and have two children and five grandchildren.He worked in Danbury, CT ,for many years at Sears and also for Technipower and Bardens.He was a member of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ in Rutland, VT. Lee loved camping, snowmobiling, and outdoor life. He, along with the help of his wife and children, built a beautiful home in the mountains of Killington, VT, where they spent many happy times.He is survived by his loving wife, Marion of Rutland; their daughter, Tracey Vichiola of Torrington, CT, and her three sons, Christopher, Michael and Anthony; and their son, Richard White, and his wife, Christina, of Bristol, CT and sons, Justin and Ryan Joseph; his siblings, Lew White of Key Colony Beach, FL, Holly Johnson and her husband, Larry, of New Milford, CT, Gay Varney and her husband, Wally, of Green Valley, IL, and Jill Fattig, and her husband, Harold, of Meriden, CT; and several nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010, from 4-6 PM at the Tossing Funeral Home, 39 Washington St., Rutland, VT.The funeral service will be held Monday, November 8, 2010, at 1 PM in Central Cemetery, Route 7, Brookfield, CT., with the Rev.
