Leah H. Hallof Newark ValleyLeah H. Hall, 71, passed away on May 4, 2006 following an illness. Born on Sept. 5, 1934 in Sterling, NY, she was a daughter of the late George and Viola (Bessy) Libbey. Leah was also predeceased by her siblings and a granddaughter. She is survived by her husband Robert L. Hall, Sr. at home, and her children and their spouses, Robert L. Jr. and Florence Hall, Raymond Hall, Roy Sr. and Alice Hall, Randy and Pam Hall, Ronald and Dorothy Hall, Bonnie (Hall) and Bill Vandenburg, 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Leah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her heart was filled with kindness and she always looked forward to the weekly shopping excursions on Saturdays.Her family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley. A memorial service will follow visitation at 8 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Martin, Pastor of the Berkshire United Methodist Church officiating.
