Lawrence (Larry) L. Jacksonformerly of OwegoLawrence (Larry) L. Jackson, age 79, of Stuart, Fla., formerly of Owego, N.Y., passed away on March 14, 2004 at Martin Memorial North Hospital, Fla. Lawrence was predeceased by his mother, father, and grandson, Daniel. He is survived by two brothers, Andy Jackson, Ga., and Donald Jackson, Mass.; and sister, Ruth Zeihler, Mass. Lawrence leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Lillian Jackson; his daughter, Karen Jerzak (husband, Mark), N.Y.; and sons, Leonard Jackson (wife, Nancy), N.Y., David Jackson (wife, Linda), Fla., Bruce Jackson (wife, Kelly), Md., Michael Jackson (wife, Pat), N.Y., and John Jackson (wife, Len), Guam. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joanne, Heather, Melissa, Andy, Bryan, Chris, Pamela, Nicholas, Adam, Kimberly, Rachel; and one grandchild soon to be born.Lawrence served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a bomber pilot, who flew 23 missions over central Europe. Lawrence graduated from Cornell University, and was a teacher and administrator with the Owego-Apalachin School District for 30 years. He enjoyed golf, swimming and reading. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Florida and St. Patrick's Church in Owego. Funeral services were held on March 16th and Lawrence was buried at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Fla.
