Lawrence "Bourg" Joseph Hebert, 87, a native of Brusly St. Martin and resident of the Oaks of Houma Nursing Home, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005. Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City, with burial in the Morgan City Cemetery. He is survived by one son, Freddy Hebert of Belle Rose; one daughter, Betty Hebert of Maryland; three sisters, Marie Vaccaro of Zachary, Beatrice "Bea" Kerek of Albany and Geraldine "J" Coupel of Belle Rose; one brother, Darnell Albarado of Maryland; four stepchildren, Eugene Jay Verrett of Breaux Bridge, Earl Peter Verrett of Lafayette, Glen John Verrett of Houma and Barbara Verrett of Morgan City; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 16 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andre and Odille Hebert; one grandson, Kevin Paul Hebert; seven sisters; one brother; and one stepson, Jerry Verrett.
