CHICOPEE FALLS - Mr. Lawrence E. Godin, 58, of Chicopee Falls, died at home July 9, 2005. Born June 5, 1947 in Bellingham, MA to the late Antonio W. & Gladys L. (Beaubien) Godin, he was a resident of Chicopee Falls for 10 years, formerly of Northampton and Bellingham, MA. Mr. Godin attended Bellingham schools. He worked in maintenance at the Springfield Shopping Plaza for several years. He was a Vietnam Navy veteran. Survived by 3 brothers, Antonio W. "Bill" Godin, Jr. of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Donald F. Godin of Boiling Springs Lake, NC, Philip G. Godin of Middleboro, MA; 3 sisters, Beverly A. Alward of Woonsocket, RI, Constance P. Schindler of Columbia, SC, Joanne T. Namaka of Baltimore, MD; and many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Gerald P. and Stephen P. Godin. Funeral Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Brendan's Church, 384 Hartford Ave. (route 126) Bellingham, MA. Interment St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. Relatives and friends invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to GLAD, 30 Winter St., Suite 800, Boston, MA 02108 would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St., Bellingham, MA. Published in The Republican on 7/21/2005.
