MARTIN, Laurent AugusteDecember 29, 1925 - October 30, 2011The Martin Family announces the peaceful passing of Laurent on Sunday, October 30 at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa. Laurent died with his devoted wife by his side. Beloved husband of Claudette (née Poulin), he also leaves to mourn his sister Carmen Gauthier (Raymond), his brothers; Robert (Suzanne) and Alfred (Monique) who was also his godson. Laurent and Claudette's godsons, Julien and Alexandre Brazeau, will sadly miss their devoted uncle. Left to mourn are his sisters and brothers in law; Carmen Poulin (Doug), Paulette Duchesne (Raymond), Rita Legault (Wilfrid), Denis Poulin (Lorraine), Roland Poulin(late Carole), Royal Poulin (Nicole), Ronald Poulin(Cécile). He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews from near and far away as well as many friends and family. Laurent was predeceased by his parents Elzéar and Dora Martin as well as by his six siblings; Edvitha, Jeanne, Alphonse, Marguerite, Hélène and Charles. Relatives and friends will be received at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd., Orléans on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 9 - 11 a.m. Followed by a funeral service that will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. In memory of Laurent, donations to the Parkinson Society Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
