SERRE, LAURENCE THERESE (nee JEAN) It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing away of Laurence Therese Serre Saturday December 6, 2003 at the Timmins District Hospital in Timmins. Beloved wife of Elie Serre of Timmins, dear mother of: Christiane (Tom) Kenedy of Elliot Lake, Sylvie (Mark) Lundy of Timmins, Mario (Sharon) Trudel of Elliot Lake, Michel Trudel of Timmins and stepson Guy (Kimberly) Serre of Elliot Lake. Cherished grandmother of: Amy, Keith, Tracy, Paula, Nicole, Michael and Kelee. Laurence is survived by five brothers, three sisters and many brothers- and sisters-in-law. She will sadly be missed by numerous friends and relatives. God saw her getting tired and the cure was not to be. So He wrapped her in His loving arms and whispered “Come with Me.” She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend, she faced her pain with courage, until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us, her fight was not in vain, God took her in His loving arms and saved her from all pain. A Religious Service will be held Wednesday December 10, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Paroisse Ste. Marie. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
