Laurence "Larry" A. Reid, 72, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday September 1st, 2012. Born in Hopewell Cape, he was the son of the late Percy Reid and Jean Dikens. Larry was a retired truck driver with Ben’s Bakery (32 years service), was an avid music collector and enjoyed gardening. Larry will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 41 years, Sheila (Weir) Reid; daughters, Cheryl Reid (David Pretty) of Halifax, NS; Cathy Hennessey (Shane) of Charlottetown, PE; Kim Reid (Danny Sonier) of Moncton; 3 precious grandchildren, Taylor, Amy and Carter Hennessey; brother, Thomas Dikens of Dallas, Texas. In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by his step father, Douglas Dikens and sister, Carolyn Reid. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday September 5, 2012 at 1:30 pm. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, Riverview Cemetery, Hopewell Cape. In Larry’s memory, donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
