CARTER, LAURA RUSSELL, 36, of Crestwood, KY, returned home to her heavenly Father Monday December 3, 2007. Laura was a care giver at Rest Care and a Registered Nurse at Jewish Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, James P. Russell. She is survived by her mother; Barbara L. Russell; her daughter, Emmy P. Carter; sister, Catherine R. Tonn (Tom); nieces, Ashley and Adeline Tonn; grandparents, Dorothy Wappes and Jean Russell, of Tennessee; uncles, Steven Wappes and Ed Russell, of Tennessee; former husband, Dan Carter; in-laws, Roger and Judy Carter; her companion, David Esterle; and daughter, Brittany. A celebration of life will be held Thursday December 6, 2007 at 7 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Church, 4936 Brownsboro Road with a reception to follow. Visitation will start at 4 p.m. at the church.
