MURPHY, Laura May - Passed away peacefully, at the Wellington Park Care Centre in Burlington, on Monday, February 6, 2012 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Kevin and mother of the late Edward. Cherished mother of Elizabeth (Bill) Woolmer, Robert (Sharon) Murphy, Pauline (John) Reynolds and Ann Marie (Andy) Corney. Laura will be sadly missed by her twelve precious grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Laura was greatly adored by her sisters Flo and Louise and her late siblings Bert and Leigh. A member of the Prime Time Club in Wasaga Beach, Laura was an avid traveller. Laura had fond memories of her visit to Las Vegas, but also enjoyed summers at Elizabeth and Bill's cottage in Georgian Bay. Laura also frequently visited Pauline and John in Michigan and enjoyed summer boating with Ann Marie and Andy. Visitation will be held at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Homes Ltd. Mimico Chapel, 63 Mimico Avenue, Toronto, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Chapel Service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery, 1567 Royal York Road, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.
