Laura M. MacPhee February 7, 1966 - August 15, 2015 With deep sadness we say farewell to Laura MacPhee who passed away on August 15, 2015 at Foothills Medical Centre. Laura was much loved by her family: mother, Margaret, sisters Melissa & Alex of Calgary and her aunts, uncles & cousins of the UK, and a wonderful group of friends from near and far. She was predeceased by her father, Alexander. Laura was born on February 7, 1966 in London, England and travelled the world with her family until they settled in Calgary in 1980. She later spent many years in Vancouver before returning to Calgary in 2011. Laura enjoyed all things culinary, especially Indian food, loved music and dancing and found particular joy in gathering with her many dear friends. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed her quiet time. She will be remembered for her warm generous spirit, dry sense of humour and hearty laugh. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society. A celebration of Laura's life will be held in Calgary in September.
