STATESBORO, Ga. -- Laura Lee Williams, age 97, passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Ogeechee Health and Rehabilitation Center, under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mrs. Williams worked as a seamstress in the clothing manufacturing industry in Pembroke and was a longtime member of Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Kelly Williams; her son, Jimmy Williams; her granddaughter, Debra Lee Jenkins; her grandson, Danny Williams; her great-grandson, Cale Jesse "C.J." Butler; and son-in-law, Jack Bell.Mrs. Williams is survived by her two sons, C.J. Williams (Yvonne) of Nevils and Jesse Williams (Marsha) of St. Marys; her daughter, Thetis Bell of Brooklet; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, from 9-11 a.m. at Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church.The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. at Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church on Friday, September 6, with Elder Jack Anderson and the Rev. Joe Eason officiating.Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Rusty Williams, Drew Williams, Barry Williams, Tyler Bell, Allen Jenkins, Wynn Howard and Christopher Quinn.Burial will be in Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O.
