Laura Elizabeth "Betty" Miller, 85, Bradenton, died May 1, 2002. She was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Middletown, Ohio, and moved to Manatee County in 1946 from there. She was a secretary at Dick, Johnson & Jefferson Insurance for 25 years. She was a member of S.O.L.V.E. and the Catholic Women's Association. In the 1950s, she was the music director for the Manatee County Girl Scouts. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul the Apsostles Catholic Church and was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Joelise "Joey" Jandric of Bradenton; and one grandson.
