VENICE, Fla. -- Laura A. Elliott, 78, died Oct. 8, 2008, at home. She was born in New Brunswick, Canada, on Nov. 21, 1929, to Thomas and Roseline (Geneau) Goodine. She moved to Venice in 1998 after a 40-year career as an LPN with the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, and with the Golden View Nursing Home in Meredith. Mrs. Elliott was a member of Epiphany Cathedral, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Guild. She loved playing cards, bingo, dancing and traveling. She also loved life and spending time with friends and family. Family includes her husband of nine years, Samuel Elliott; daughters Kim Smith of Gilmanton and Pamela Stone of Alton; sons Randy Smith of Nashua, Michael Smith of Gilford, and Kevin Smith of Ormond Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren. SERVICES: A memorial mass is Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Epiphany Cathedral, Venice, Fla.
