Laulia Marguerite HARVEY February 14, 1932 - February 27, 2009 - HARVEY Laulia Marguerite Harvey, age 77, of Three Mile Plains, Hants County passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on February 14,1932 in Windsor; she was a daughter of the late Frederick James and Annie Clare (Whitehead) Shanks. Laulia taught school at Five Mile Plains School and was a dedicated member of St. Thomas Anglican Church, Three Mile Plains. She was also a dedicated and loving caregiver to many children and enjoyed her time at the family cottage on Panuke Lake. Laulia loved to read and do word puzzles; she had a keen interest in the family history and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of fifty one years, James; son, Arnold (Anna), Truro; grandchildren, Nathan (Jennifer) Harvey, Three Mile Plains; Josh (Jessica) Harvey, Alberta; Jillian (Lee) Harvey, Windsor; Bailee Long, Brooklyn, Hants County; great-grandson, Brennen Harvey, Three Mile Plains; sisters, Annie Hunter, Windsor; Lena Harvie, Windsor; Barb (Wilfred) Edwards, Newport Station; Shirley Ward, Three Mile Plains; brother, Reid (Alice) Shanks, Three Mile Plains; many nieces & nephews. Laulia was predeceased by brothers, Irvin; Ralph; and John Shanks; sister, Mary Gibson; foster brother, Arnold Whitehead. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in St. Thomas Anglican Church, Three Mile Plains. Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Interment will be in Ste. Croix Cemetery, St. Croix. Donations in memory of Laulia may be made to: St. Thomas Anglican Church or A charity of your choice
