His caring and compassionate spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, E.B. Smith. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Eloise Smith; four brothers, Gene Nelson (Kathy), Gary Smith (Cindy), Greg Smith (Lynette), and Benny Smith (Jessica); four sisters, Debra Mabire (H.W.), Linda Busbee, Brenda Smith (Robin) and Trish Goliwas; 17 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews; special friend, John Andrews; and loving lifetime friends, Susan Jernigan, Lisa Ard, and Walter Turner. Visitation will be held at Grace Assembly of God Church, 6117 West Fairfield Dr., on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. TRAHAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
