He was a retired engineer at TVA. He was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene and an avid woodworker. He was predeceased by his parents, Rayburn and Frances Smith, and nephew, Justin J. Jeffery.Survivors include his wife, Wanda Jeffery Smith; brother, Robert W. Smith; mother-in-law, Virginia Jeffery; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Candice Jeffery; nephew, Stephen J. Jeffery and wife Mary; grand niece, Hannah A. Jeffery and several cousins.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m., and Thursday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., in Calvary Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Mike Campbell will conduct the service at 1 p.m. in the church.
