-> Villa Rica - Mr. Larry Robert Lee, 44, passed away Friday, November 7, 2003 at Tanner Medical Center. He was born February 24, 1959 in Savannah, GA. Mr. Lee attended Savannah schools and graduated high school in 1977 in Savannah, GA. Upon graduation he went to Southern Technical Institute and graduated as a Industrial Engineer in December 1982. He is a member of Sigma Nu fraternity and had worked for Walton Mills, Penneys Catalog Department, Sony, Americold and OFS Brightway. Larry played in Little League Softball when he was young, and later organized and managed a softball team. His team won the Smyrna Softball Championship in 1988. He also organized his fraternity Sigma Nu Iota Pis golf outing and they honored him in 2003 by naming their golf outing "Larry Lee Golf Classic", which was played November 1, 2003. He loved sports and won many trophies for his athletic activities. Survivors include hi wife, Lisa Lee; parents, Robert F. and Betty Lee, Jr., of Savannah; daughters, Allison and Tammy Lee of Villa Rica; sister, Brenda Yancey of Savannah; brother, Jimmy Lee and brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Karen Lee also of Savannah; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Wilma Davies of Cave Spring, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 10, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from the Carrollton First United Methodist Church with Dr. Robert Allred officiating. Interment will follow in West Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, November 9, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and at the church parlor on Monday, November 10 from 10:30 until the funeral hour. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care, P.O. Box 1136, Carrollton, GA 30112 or the American Cancer Society, 135 Bradford Square, Suite B, Fayetteville, GA 30215.
