AIKEN, S.C.- Mr. Larry Eugene Owens, 51, of Aiken, died December 15, 2003. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Graniteville Cemetery. Mrs. Owens worked at Vel Met as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 156. Survivors include his mother, Janette Vickers Owens, Aiken; a son, Chris Owens, Aiken; a sister, Kathy Adams, Largo, Fla. He was predeceased by a sister, Linda Williams. Memorials may be directed to Aiken Cancer Society, P.O. Box K, Aiken, S.C. 29802. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shellhouse Funeral Home, 924 Hayne Ave., Aiken.
