Louise-Purcell Horn, spouse of Mack Horn, daughter of Buren-E and Nellie-W, died. Please consult the obituary here:
HORN, LOUISE PURCELL, Louise was born in Arp, Georgia in 1917. When she was seven years old, her parents, Buren E Purcell and Nellie W. Purcell, moved the family to Orlando. She grew up in Orlando and graduated from Orlando High School in 1936, when she began working with her father in the family business downtown. She met and married Willie Mackavay Horn in June of 1941. They were married 58 years. Most of those years Louise enjoyed being a military officer's wife. When Willie (Mack) retired from the Air Force in 1965, they settled in Orlando where Louise eventually became head of the Purcell family business in Orlando. She also became very active with the downtown business district at that time. She was past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 131. Her beloved husband, Mack, passed away on September 9, 1999. It is perhaps worth noting that Louise also passed on September 9, 2005. She is survived by her daughter and only child, Page Horn Danby, who lives in Springfield, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the Baldwin Fairchild Ivanhoe Chapel on Monday, September 12 from 5-7PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 13 at 11AM at the First United Methodist Church of Orlando.
