Louise D. Johnson, a longtime resident of New Rochelle and former resident of Mt. Vernon died May 24, 2006. Born May 31, 1915 to Patrick and Helen Penick Howerton Moon in South Boston, VA where she graduated the public schools. After attending New York City College and Westchester Business Institute she was employed briefly in the Insurance and Realty field and then became a Professional Caterer. United in marriage to Wilbert H. Johnson and from this union was a son, Edwin Johnson, both predeceased her. A 67 year member of Bethesda Baptist Church of New Rochelle. Life member of NAACP and National Council of Negro Women, past President Westchester Council of Women and California Club. Surviving are; grandson, Enaharo Akin Johnson; sister, Rosa M. Lee; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; cousins and others. Also predeceased by a brother and sister. Visiting Tuesday 11 am to 12 noon, Bethesda Baptist Church, 71 Lincoln Ave., New Rochelle. Funeral 12 noon at the church. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by Barney T.
