Obituary of Louise Cole


COLE Louise ( Wilkinson) Cole, age 85, died suddenly at her residence in Wesley Heights, Shelton, on August 14, 2011. She was the widow of Marshall Raymond Cole and daughter of Kenneth and Eleanor (Sherman) Wilkinson of Stratford. Louise attended Stratford Schools and graduated from Stratford High School class of 1944. Louise was a member of the First Congregational church of Stratford, and a participant in the Senior Choir for many years. Following graduation , Louise was employed at Bridgeport Hospital for over 50 years in the purchasing department. Survivors include her sister Shirley Porter and her husband Robert of Stratford; a nephew, James Porter and his wife Eileen of Stratford; a niece, Nancy McDonough and her husband Fred of Goshen, NH and their children, Amanda and Joshua. She is also survived by her nieces Wendy Mawhinney and Norma Brewer and nephews, Rod, Greg and Larry Cole. Graveside services are pending and will be announced at a later date by the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home of Stratford. Memorial contributions in Louise's name may be sent to " The Special Music Fund" of the First Congregational Church of Stratford, 2301 Main St. Stratford, CT 06615.
