Louise-B. Miller, born in 1918, spouse of J. -Gilson Miller, daughter of Edwin and Abby-Sanford, mother of Marie, Kenneth Burnett and Timothy G, died on April 1, 2003 at 85 years old.
Louise B. Miller, 85, a 16-year resident of North Salem, NY, died April 1, 2003. For 20 years she was a teacher in the Katonah-Lewisboro School District She was born January 11, 1918 to Edwin L. and Abby Sanford Burnett and graduated from Southampton High School and Cornell University. A resident of Katonah, NY from 1940-1987 before moving to North Salem, she was a member of the Katonah Woman's Civic Club and Katonah Methodist Church. She taught Home Economics at the Katonah and John Jay High Schools before retiring in 1973. Louise will be remembered for her kind and loving manner by the friends and family members whose lives she touched. She was a caring, loving and compassionate person, always willing to listen and help. She is survived by her brother James S. Burnett of Water Mill, NY, a daughter Marie Cernik, and three grandchildren: Brian, Christina, and Steven, as well as two sons: Kenneth Burnett Miller and Timothy G. Miller. She is predeceased by her husband, J. Gilson Miller. Calling hours will be April 4, 7-9 PM and April 5, 1-3 PM at the Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. Service at the Funeral Home will immediately follow. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woman's Civic Club of Katonah, Inc., Bedford Rd, Katonah. NY.
