Lorraine Lee, born in 1942, spouse of Emmett-B. Lee, daughter of Herbert and Laura-Paquet, mother of Emmett S and Ct, died on November 25, 2014 at 72 years old.
LORRAINE M. LEE Lorraine M. Lee, 72, passed away peacefully after a 19 year battle with cancer, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at her summer residence in Monroe, CT. She was the wife of Emmett B. Lee, Jr. of Monroe, CT and Vero Beach, FL. Born June 26, 1942, in Lewiston, ME, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Laura Paquet Saucier. Lorraine went to local schools and graduated from the Pelletire's Beauty School of Lewiston, ME. She worked at several salons until she married her blind date, Emmett, while he was stationed in Maine with the US Air Force. They were married on July 21, 1962, in St. Louis Church in Auburn, ME. On their fiftieth anniversary Lorraine and Emmett with their son and family renewed their vows on the beach in Turks Caicos; and in August of the same year renewed their vows in the church they were first married. Lorraine and Emmett move to Norwalk, CT, where Lorraine continued her profession and worked at Sperry Semi-Conductor. In 1980 Lorraine and Emmett started ABC Exterminating Company in Norwalk. Lorraine was the general office manager who enjoyed handling advertising and everyday operations. They semi-retired as Lorraine grew ill and built a house on the beach in Vero Beach, FL, where they spent many happy winters. Lorraine loved going out every Sunday to church and the Vero Beach Country Club of which she was a member. She loved to travel and take cruises with her family around the country and world. She was known for making wreaths and planters with shells from the beaches. Lorraine reached out to many cancer patients over the years, even while fighting her own battle. In addition to her husband, Lorraine is survived by her son Emmett S. Lee and his wife Jill of Monroe, CT; grandsons Brandon and Ryan, and granddaughter Marissa; brother Herbert Saucier and his wife Rhonda of Lewiston, ME; sister Barbara and her husband Al Wiseman of Minot, ME, and 10 nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, November 28, from 4 to 8PM in the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 29, at 10:00 AM in St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk, CT. Entombment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
