CHELSEA -- Linda E. McCormick Mason died Wednesday, July 23, 2013. She was born in Gardiner, Aug. 12, 1947, the daughter of Earle L. McCormick Sr. and Delema H. Frazier McCormick. She was predeceased by her husband, Dewayne Peter Mason; her parents; and one sister, Gloria J. Houdlette, of Gardiner. She leaves behind three brothers, Earle McCormick and wife Darlene, Richard McCormick and wife Lillian, all of West Gardiner, and Stephen McCormick and wife Suzanna, of Spencer, Iowa; and two sisters, Judith Wilkins, of Thibodaux, La., and Earlene Frugale, of Southington, Conn.She is survived by her son, John Veilleux, and wife Lisa, of Mount Vernon; two daughters, Kelly Veilleux Minot, of Chelsea, and Rebecca Pratt of Fort Wayne, Ind. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Brook Carrier, of Chelsea, Nicholas, John and Alex Veilleux, all of Mount Vernon, Eryka Minoty, of Chelsea, and Aiden J. and Dominick Green, of Fort Wayne.She will be buried with her husband Dewayne at Oak Grove Cemetery in Gardiner. Goodbye to best friends Glenda, Peggy, Shari, Jill and Suzie. Her devoted German shepherd Meekha has taken over the duty at her new home protecting the Veilleux family.Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice House in Auburn or HealthReach Hospice at MaineGeneral.Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
