Henderson, Sr and Weltha Yearwood Henderson. He graduated from Ft. Meade High School and Tampa Business College and served in the Coast Guard. For about ten years he operated H&H Undercoating in St. Petersburg and acquired his pilot's license, enjoying flying his Piper Cub J3 around Florida. He served as an air traffic controller for 25 years, his first assignment being Gustavus, Alaska. In 1974, he retired from Page Field in Ft. Myers and began to pursue his other passion: travel. He is survived by his daughters: Patricia Roberts of Seattle, WA, and Cathy Louviere (Jordan) of Sydney, Australia, and a sister, Joyce Rudolph (Vernon) of Woodstock, GA. Private service. He was loved and admired and will be missed.
