LAURA MAE WELLS MILTON - Laura Mae Wells, 83, died peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2011 in the St. Albans Health and Rehab. Center. Laura was born on Jan. 29, 1928 in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of Augustus and Emma Mae Turner. She had worked for the Maternity Clothing Corporation in Burlington for many years. She later owned and operated "Breaker 19 Diner" in Georgia, Vt. She was a former member of the Cornerstone Community Church of Milton. Laura was married to Roland Wells on Dec. 11, 1946. Roland predeceased her in 1992. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ronnie and Donna Wells (with whom she lived for many years) of Milton, Valerie and Raymond Bruneau of Florida, Peggy Hill of Milton, Rolann and Fred Roberson of St. Albans, and Robert and Rita Wells of Ohio. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Robert and Richard Turner, Beverly Cherrier, and Barbara Bugbee; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Shirley Fuller, Connie Bluto, and Marjorie and Evelyn Turner. Special thanks go to the staff at the St. Albans Health and Rehab. Center for the excellent care given to Laura during her stay. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton.
