Born on June 13, 1955 in Wellsboro, PA, he was the son of Bert Smith and Phyllis (Harris) Flikkema. Larry was employed for 35 years as a safety coordinator with Emhart Glass in Elmira, NY. He was a member of the Pine City Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Larry is survived by his mother, Phyllis Flikkema, of Southport, NY; two sons, Shane Smith of Blossburg, PA, Bert Smith of Tioga, PA; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharlene and Larry Andrews of Millerton, PA; four grandchildren, Brendan, Brian, Luke, Hunter; a nephew, Scott (Erin) Andrews; great nephews, Boone and Brody; his fianc&#233;e and her children, Diann Friant, Jared and Jill Friant of Millerton, PA. He was predeceased by his father, Bert Smith. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately following calling hours at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Debra Button officiating. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
