Kitty Lee Davis, 90, of Crestview, Fla., passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Shoal Creek Rehab Center.She was born on Sept. 30, 1921, in Statesboro, Ga., and she grew up in Baker, which she thought of as home. Kitty worked at the Bank of Crestview for many years. She also worked at the University of West Florida, but later retired from the Okaloosa County School District. She always loved entertaining family and friends in her home, and she was a member of the First United Methodist Church.Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Dameron Davis; her daughter, Bette Jane Davis Meyers; her son, James "Tommy" Davis; her brothers, Gary, Buck, James and Durrell Lee; and her sister, Myrtle Lee.Kitty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and David Deane; and her daughter-in-law, Kathy Davis. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jennifer Deane, Mikel Davis, Michelle and Mira Sebestava, Daniel and Anna Davis, Joseph and Beth Davis, and Naomi Davis; and great-grandchildren, Briana Davis, Nathan Davis, Madeline Davis, Gabriel Davis and Monika Sesbestava. Kitty also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Sadie Lee and Marilea Lee.Our special appreciation is given for all the love and care by the staff of Shoal Creek Rehabilitation Center in Crestview.A time of visitation with the family will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home, and the funeral service for Kitty will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to any Alzheimer's organization or research funding.Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
