Mr. Kevin G. Gorham, 31, of Panama City, Fla., died Monday, June 16, 2008, in a tragic airplane accident. He was born in West Point, N.Y., and had resided in this area since 1997, moving from Pleasantville, N.Y. He attended First Baptist Church of Panama City and was an Eagle Scout. Kevin was a 1995 graduate of Pleasantville High School and received his bachelor's degree in 2002 from Embry-Riddle University. He served active duty with the United States Air Force at Tyndall Air Force Base with the 2nd Fighter Squadron from 1997-2000, receiving numerous awards during his military service. He was a member of the Pleasantville Fire Department, Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association, International Council of Airshows, Experimental Aircraft Association, International Aerobatic Club and National Business Aircraft Association. He also was a partner and manager of operations of Precision AvJet Family of Companies. He was a proud crewmember of the Red Eagle Airsports Team. Kevin is survived by his wife, Joni Gorham of Panama City; son, Chandler Boyd Gorham; daughter, Camryn Marie Gorham; parents, Faye and Frank Gorham Jr. of Lynn Haven, Fla.; brother, Curtis Gorham of Lynn Haven, Fla.; paternal grandmother, Elsie Virginia Myren of Ogema, Saskatchewan, Canada; three uncles, Wayne Myren of Ogema, Saskatchewan, Canada, Morley Myren and wife, Val, of South Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, and Ed Gorham and wife, Pam, of La Plata, Md.; mother- and father-in-law, Janet and W.E. Miller of Panama City and Jimmy and Carolyn Boyd of Panama City; brother-in-law, Kevin Boyd and wife, Jessica, of Lynn Haven; niece, Adalyn Grace Boyd; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Hope Gorham. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2008, with the Rev. Burney Enzor officiating at First Baptist Church of Panama City. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Dan McClung, Buck Roet man, Erin Fella, Brian Christopher, Jeff Kish and Vance White. Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Precision AvJet Family of Companies. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral service.
