Kenneth Leroy Williams Kenneth Leroy Williams, 63, an air-conditioning technician, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002. No services are planned at this time. House of Brown?s Funeral Home (575-9396) is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1773 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308 or Make a Wish Foundation."Sixty-three years was not enough" is a thought that echoes in the minds of everyone who knew him. Not enough time to catch just another fish or walk through the woods hunting his favorite game. Just one more campfire or family backyard cookout. But especially to give another warm, fuzzy hug to his grandchildren, a loving smile to those who love him or just tease anyone fortunate enough to be within his reach.Yes, that ray of sunshine now makes heaven just a little brighter and will live in our hearts forever. His lifelong service in the air-conditioning industry will be sorely missed, as his expertise was highly praised by all he served. In his youth he was originally trained with pride in his work by his uncle L.C. McMullen of Chiefland. He later took his skills to Fort Walton Beach and Tallahassee. He often reminisced about his mentors and air-conditioning employers, John T. Smith of Fort Walton Beach and Stanley Barineau and Larry Barineau of Tallahassee, and the valued influence they had on his life. The mantle of skills that he wore is now passing on to his two sons, Keith and Kevin Scott.Enough cannot be said of the invaluable support given by Big Bend Hospice to the family during his transition to a better life. Special thanks to Eliza Gulledge, Helen Geiger and Ann Sessions. Emphysema was a tough challenge, but one he bore with perseverence and dignity. Knowing he has gone before us and is waiting for our appearance there will make the passing time a little easier for all of us. Thanks for the memories and being a part of our lives. You were more loved than you could imagine. Survivors include two sons, Keith Williams of Tallahassee and Kevin Scott Williams of Fort Walton Beach; two daughters, Kim Morales of Chiefland and Leslie Williams of Fort Walton Beach; two sisters, Helen Shaw and Joanne Fontenot of Fort Walton Beach; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason Alan, Kristopher, Stephanie, Breanne and Tyler; three nephews, Michael Allen of Tallahassee, and Johnny Graves and Darryl Shaw of Fort Walton Beach; and especially an angel of love, Lisa Wyatt, who showed him exceptional care during his darkest hours.
