Kenneth Lee Johnson Kenneth Lee Johnson, 88, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Serenity Place V.A. Hospital in Lake City, Fla. A private service will be held at a later date. Ken was a native of Bicknell, Indiana, and a former resident of the Space Coast, Brevard County. He has resided in Monticello, Fla., for the past four years.He retired from NASA and was a member of The Test Support Team. He was a highly decorated Army veteran from the WWII Era, 1st Armored Division. He was awarded four purple hearts, Silver Star, Bronze Star and the cross for Military Valor from the Italian Government, along with many others. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Naomi Irene ; a son, Michael Johnson (April R.) of Monticello, Fla.; three grandchildren, Michael Johnson Jr., Bryan Johnson and Kaitlyn Johnson; and two great-grandchildren.Ken is preceded in death by daughter, Carol Ann Johnson.
