EFFINGHAM -- Kenneth L. Davis, 76, of Green Mountain Road, died Dec. 20, 2009 at his home. A native and life-long resident of Effingham, he was born April 4, 1933, to Irving and Bertha (Wilfret) Davis. He worked for the town of Freedom Highway Department for 27 years. He loved his family and mostly his home and farm on Green Mountain. He will be remembered for placing Memorial Day flags on veterans' graves in Effingham for many years. He is survived by his son, Gregory Douglass of Denmark, Maine; sisters, Bertha Hannaford of Manchester; Edith Lamper of Gonic, and Eleanor Davis of Rochester; and many nieces and nephews. SERVICES: There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be in the Davis Meetinghouse Cemetery, Green Mountain Road, Effingham, in the spring.Lord Funeral Home, Center Ossipee, NH is in charge of arrangements.
