Kenneth George Golden Sr. died on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg due to complications following a motor vehicle accident on Dec. 13, 2009. He was 74 and celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary this past weekend. Viewing services will be held at the Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main St., Lincoln Park on Friday, Feb. 12, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral and interment will be at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Annandale on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. Ken was born Nov. 17, 1935, in New York City to the late Dorothy Pastore and Russell Golden of New York City. He previously resided at the Greer School, New York, attended Bronx Vocational High School, the American Institute of Banking, Pace University Business School and had a prolific career at Citibank and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. On Feb. 6, 1960, he married Kathleen Mary O'Shea, Bronx, N.Y. He was a longtime resident of Lincoln Park, where he raised his nine children. He and Kathy retired to Pittstown, Alexandria Township, N.J., in 2004, where he was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, Annandale. Ken was a loving father, husband, and grandfather who had a lifetime passion for food, family and travel. He recently returned from a trip to Ireland and six week vacation of Marco Island, Fla. He passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and children, sons-in-law and friends. Ken is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Jean and husband, Bill Tevald and their children, Elizabeth, Galina, Br. Andrew, Nadia, Brian, Vitaly, Irina of Pittstown; daughter, Christine Golden and her son, Stephen of Gardner, Mass.; daughter, Eileen Golden of Bethlehem, Pa.; son, Kenneth G. Golden Jr. and his son, Kenneth G. Golden III of Center Valley, Pa.; son, Sean and wife, Wendy Golden and their children, Nicole and Sean, of Boonton; daughter, Rebecca and husband, Daniel Clark, of Pearl City, Hawaii; daughter, MaryKate and husband, John Henle and their children, Alexander, John, Theresa, Benjamin, Maureen and Isabel of Springfield, Mass; son, Paul and Stefanie Mulliken Golden and their daughter, Avery, of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter, Sr. Marie Therese of Saint Benedict Center, Still River, Mass. and brother, Russell Golden and his wife, Marie, of Patchogue, N.Y.
