Kenneth Peters ROCHESTER - Kenneth E. Peters, 83, died Monday January 21, 2013, at the Kindred Care and Rehabilitation Center in Dover, after a long period of failing health. Ken was born in Quincy, Ill. on February 8, 1929, the son of Mary Elizabeth and Earl Lee Peters and had been living in Rochester since 1992, moving from Shelton, Conn. Prior to his retirement he worked as a Product Support Manager at Sikorsky Aircraft where he worked after his retirement as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, serving his country during the Korean War and Cuban Missile Crisis. Ken was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Rochester, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the American Legion. He loved gardening and was an avid NY Giants and Yankee Fan. Ken was an exceptional father of seven children. He was predeceased by a daughter, Annmarie Cusano. Surviving members of the family include: his wife, Mary (Welch) Peters of Rochester, four sons, Mark Peters of Pittsburgh, Pa., Timothy Peters of Nottingham, Jon Christopher Peters of Shelton, Conn. and Kevin Peters of Livermore, Calif., two daughters, Jeannine Peters of Shelton, Conn. and Sydney Bingman of Lake Mary, Fla. He also leaves twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren as well as one brother, Norbert Peters and one sister Darlene Geiselman, both of Quincy, Ill., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, on Monday, 1/28/2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, 1/29/2013, at St. Mary's Church, 71 Lowell Street, Rochester, N.H., with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.
