Kathryn Samuels Anderson MOORESTOWN - Kathryn Samuels Anderson of Moorestown, NJ, passed away on Sept. 20, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, at the Ewing Township home where Kathryn recently resided with her niece, NJ Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman. Kathryn, affectionately called Aunt Kay Kay, died eight days prior to her 96th birthday (Sept. 28, 1915), and lived a long, healthy and independent life. Kathryn was proud of her birthplace, the historic section of Pennsauken Township known as Morrisville (Delair). Kathryn was the widow of Frank P. Anderson, and the daughter of the late William and Etta Bundy Samuels. She was predeceased by two infant daughters, Rita and Sonya; her brothers, Russell and Edwin Samuels, and sister, Marie Samuels Watson, who was the wife of the late Assemblyman John S. Watson Sr. She is survived by her brother, Gilbert Samuels, and his wife, Rose, of Delair, NJ, and sister-in-law, Dorothea, of Pennsauken. She will be lovingly missed by nieces and nephews, Bonnie Watson Coleman (William), William A. Watson (Donna), John S. Watson Jr. (Debra), Aaron T. Watson (Mary Helen), T. Sonya Pritchett, Gary Samuels (Rose), Marcia Samuels, Cynthia Samuels Bundy (Roy), and Cathy Samuels, as well as three special cousins, Deborah Russell, Theresa Wyche and Ronald Catlett. Kathryn most cherished sharing her life and unconditional love as the strong matriarch and caregiver of her family, which also includes many great nieces and nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 1665 Derousse Ave., Delair, NJ, at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2011. Calling hours are 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Reverend William E. Coleman will officiate. Interment is at Sunset Memorial, Delair, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Compassionate Care Hospice, 600 Highland Drive, Suite 624, Westhampton, NJ 08060. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton, NJ.
