MOORE _ Kathleen Veronica (Kay) Kathleen Moore passed away peacefully, her children at her bedside, on Saturday, October 21st, 2006, in Burnaby, British Columbia. Kay was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, April 23rd, 1918. She is survived by daughter Denise ( Michael Sherman), daughter Lynda, and son Tom (Mary-Jane Moore), as well as by grand-daughters Samantha and Jennifer, nieces and nephews, and extended family. Kay enjoyed a long, rich, and wonderful life as a woman of independent spirit, mother, and homemaker. As the wife of a career military officer, the late Lt. Col. Thomas Moore, Kay moved extensively over the years. Various postings took her and her family to diverse locales including Victoria and Vancouver, B.C., Ottawa, Picton, Ontario, El Paso, Texas, and New York City. Kay's children extend their thanks to the staff at the Fair Haven Special Care Unit. As well, Denise, Lynda, and Tom would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the care and compassion afforded their mother and themselves by Dr. Davidicus Wong. A private celebration of Kay Moore's life will be held at her home in Burnaby early in November. Memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer Society of British Columbia, The Canadian Diabetes Association, or the charity of your choice. Mom, we will love you forever.
