Obituary of Kathleen T. Moriarty


NFlorida Kathleen T. (Happenny) Moriarty, age 75, of Naples, FL., formerly of Cohasset, died Monday June 23, 2008. Born and raised in Cohasset, Kathleen was a graduate of Cohasset High School. Mrs. Moriarty worked for many years as the Executive Administrative Assistant at W. Chester Browne Architecture in Boston, Ma. Kathleen was the co-founder of Bostons Chapter of Women in Construction, which she helped establish over 50 years ago. Kathleen acted as both President and Secretary during her involvement with the Boston Chapter. Kathleen is the wife of the late John Moriarty of Cohasset and the daughter of the late Katherine (Lenane) and James Happenny. She is the sister of the late Leo Happenny and the late Elizabeth Eager. Kathleen is survived by her cousins, Ian, Olivere, and Norah Walsh, all of Ireland and her close friends the Lagrotterias of Cohasset. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 28 at 9 a.m. in St. Anthonys Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours Friday from 4-7 p.m. at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthonys Church), Cohasset. Interment St. Pauls Cemetery, Hingham.
