Obituary of Kathleen-R. Morrison


Kathleen R. Morrison September 28, 1956 - April 17, 2013 Taftville -Kathleen R. Morrison, 56 of 68 Providence St. died early Wednesday morning at the Backus Hospital. She was born in Norwich on September 28, 1956 the daughter of John Filiatreault of Baltic and the late MaDonna (Dorman) Raymond. Kathy was employed for a number of years as a Retail Associate at Mohegan Sun Casino. On September 14, 2002 she married Leon F. Morrison who survives her. Besides her husband and father, she is survived by two sons, Chris Savaria, and Shawn Savaria of Taftville. Two daughters, Kamya Huntley and Katrina Savaria both of Norwich. Two brothers, Marc Filiatreault and Brian Filiatreault both of Baltic. Two sisters, Geraldine Hamel of Hanover and Chryssa MacDougall of Baltic. Five grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter Heather Huntley and one brother John Filiatreault. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Church in Occum meeting directly at church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours at the Guillot Funeral Home 75 South B. St. Taftville will be Monday from 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society 169 Old Colchester Rd. Quaker Hill, CT 06375.
