MORRISON, Kathleen AnneMay 24, 1952 - March 27, 2012Kathy leaves behind her husband Jim Nicholl in Calgary, her mother Tracy Morrison and partner Fred Malcolm in Canmore, her sister Barbara Morrison and partner Mark Colfer in Ireland, her brother David Morrison and wife Laurie Quon (niece Sorsha and nephew Colter) in Calgary, and her brother Don Morrison and partner Bobbie Beddoes (nephew Taylor) in Calgary. Kathy is predeceased by her real father Gordon Morrison and her natural father George Hart. On her last stay at the hospital, Kathy had few remaining options. In typical Kathy fashion, she decided to "make this quick" and declined any medical treatment other than pain management. From that point forward, her decline was swift. On Tuesday, March 27, Kathy was moved to Chinook Hospice. With her were her husband, her brothers, and her mother. Her sister was en-route across the Atlantic. Shortly before Kathy passed, her mother Tracy kissed her, promised her that she would take care of everyone, told her how much everyone loved her, and let her know that it was okay to go. Moments later, Kathy stirred. She looked at her husband, cracked a faint smile, and quietly and quickly slipped away.
