WILSON Kathleen M. Katchmar Wilson, age 46, of Highview Drive, Harwinton, the beloved fiancee of Roger Curtiss, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital of Torrington, after a brave battle fighting cancer. She was born in Derby, on January 17, 1960, the beloved daughter of John M. Katchmar of Hawaii, and Mildred Rodefer Katchmar of Beacon Falls. Kathy was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Beacon Falls. She was employed in the Medical Billing Department of Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for five years and was scheduled to receive recognition for services for five years at CHH. Kathy also worked at Sky Top Lanes in Torrington for 20 years. She was an avid volunteer for numerous charities and organizations including having served as co-captain for American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, co-captain for March of Dimes Walk of America, co-captain for Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes and with Easter Seals. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Kathy organized major fundraisers and activities for Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was loved by so many family and friends and was cherished by all. Her loving family in addition to her fiancée Roger Curtiss; and her parents, John M. Katchmar and Mildred Rodefer Katchmar; includes her cherished children, Nicholas P. Wilson of Charlotte, N.C., and Jodi L. Scalzo and her husband, Bryan of East Haven; her loving brothers, Scott Katchmar and his wife, Betsy, of Beacon Falls, and Steven W. Katchmar and his wife, Cheryl, of Windsor, Ohio; and a loving sister, Karen E. Rougeot and her husband, Richard, of Torrington; three cherished nephews, Daniel Soden, Jason and Jared Katchmar; and a cherished niece, Erika Rae Katchmar; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service in celebration of Kathy's life will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 9 a.m. in the Chapel of Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Str. (Rte. 67, Seymour, opposite Klarides Village) with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Church, 25 Maple Street, Beacon Falls. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.. Memorial contributions in Kathy's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Meriden Executive Park, 538 Preston Avenue, Meriden, CT. 06540.
