Obituary of Kathleen-L. Murphy


Kathleen L. Murphy, 80, of Medford Lakes, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Care One at Harmony Village in Moorestown. Born in Buffalo, NY, Kathleen resided in Syracuse, NY, before moving to Medford Lakes in 1973. She was a parishioner at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church in Medford, where she served as a communicant. She was a member of the Daughter's of St. Theresa, and the Medford Lakes Garden Club. Wife of the late Vincent P. Murphy; she is survived by her son, M. Sean Murphy; her daughter and son-in-law, Colleen Murphy-Parker and TSgt. Thomas M. Parker, Jr.; six grandchildren, Dylan Patrick, Samantha Elizabeth, and Morgan Marie, Benjamin Martyn, Mikaela Rose, and Lucas Vincent; and her brother, Skipper Mussehl. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 6-8PM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 8, at 10:30AM, at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kathleen's memory to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Jones Rd., P.O. Box, 1131, Medford, NJ 08055; or the Knights of Columbus Council 6520, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford, NJ 08055.
