Mrs. Kathleen Jones Lackey, age 78, of Mary Esther, Fla., died on Jan. 25, 2015 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. There will be a celebration of life service held at a later date.Mrs. Lackey was born Oct. 17, 1936, to the late Ralph A. Jones, Sr. and Mildred Eloise Carrithers. She graduated Lincoln High school in 1955 and married her late husband James Lackey on June 5, 1960. She moved to Florida in 1984 and retired from the Clay County Sheriff's Office as a dispatch operator in 1995. She has been a member of the Eastern Star Masonic Order for over 50 years. Mrs. Lackey was also a member of the Fort Walton Beach Order, number 202, and the Freeport Order, number 281, where she reached Worthy Mason many times.She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Cassie Lackey; three grandsons, Brandson Lackey, Alex Lackey, and Nick Lackey; her nephew, Buddy Jones; and niece, Jean-Ann Shaw. She also leaves behind her special kitties, Squirt and Baby.She was preceded in death by her son, J.B.; her daughter, Dorinda; and her brother, Harold L.
