Obituary of Kathleen Carter

Kathleen Carter, 89, widow of George D. Carter, Sr., died July 14, 2009. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Pearl Inez Davis. Kathleen had worked as a seamstress in the textiles industry and was a member of Paris View Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, George D. Carter, Jr. and wife, Jackie, of Greenville; three grandchildren, Ahndrea Johnson and husband Carl, Kristi Padgett and husband Mark, and George D. Carter, III and wife Tosha; ten great-grandchildren; four sisters; and one brother. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009, at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family will be at the residence. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
