Obituary of Kathleen-Cahill Carter

NORTH GREENBUSH Kathleen Cahill Carter, 85, of Northern Court, died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late James Cahill and Helen (Reed) Cahill and wife for 62 years of James E. Carter. Survivors in addition to her husband include four sons, Donald Carter (Sandra) of Poestenkill, James E. Carter II (Lillian) of Knoxville, Tenn., William Carter (Barbara) of Irvine, Calif. and Timothy Carter (Evelyn) of Brunswick; two daughters, Erin Carter-Hamlin of Wynantskill and Mary Elise Stegman of Wynantskill; a sister, Jean Hull of Latham; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Poulin and Marion Matwa and a brother, James Cahill. Funeral service Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Bryce Funeral Home, Inc., 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Jude the Apostle Church, Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill.
